Piecing the Style Together

It’s kinda funny, I found my style in March (like I really trusted my authentic vision) after a tedious search and had metaphorically and literally all the pieces collected (trash or not trash aka positive and negative memories, but memories worth saving nonetheless). I kinda sat with them over quarantine and stopped feeling compelled to paint for the first time in two years which made me extremely uncomfortable because I didn’t know why I felt like that. I guess my vision felt foggy and my inspo lacked and I was forgetting how vital seeing the beauty in the mundane is. All I could do was quarantine and stare at my paintings and reflect. I guess in August it hit me that I had all the pieces I needed and I actually needed to just piece them together like a puzzle. So that’s I guess where I’m at with my art and life, just collaging at the moment— materials, sculptures, fashion, art on canvas, opportunities, life, friends, interests, and getting excited to see some authentic results, without a fog filtering things.
